This was an entertaining read. The suspense builds up nicely as you begin to know the characters and the supernatural world. We have Weres, Witches, Psychics, Vampires, and hints of other species. We have a main character, Kris (a Vampire), with a personality that isn't completely good or evil, which tends to make him extremely interesting.

This book was well written and edited. By the time I got about halfway through, I was tapping the pages on the Kindle faster and faster. The ending left things resolved, but still makes me want to read more.

I was disappointed when it ended, because I could have gone on reading indefinitely--Kris's life was that intriguing. I'll be getting the second book as soon as I can.

I liked the way the author made the vamps a little bit different then the normal way they are portrayed. It ended a lil too hunky dorey for me
This book is a must-read! Readers will enjoy peeling back the many layers of Kris Grant, a vampire whose tough-as-nails exterior and sarcastic wit are just the tip of the iceberg. This is a far cry from the typical "vampire book". It is filled with action, suspense, and mystery and will have readers begging for more!
Some vampire fiction/urban fanstasy stories may be seen as boring and repetitive; however this is not the case with "Daylight Hours". Daylight Hours is oringinal, engaging and action-packed, and the reader will pick this up within the first few chapters. Overall, it is a great read because Louisiana isn't the only place where the vampires are.
Different take on the supernatural world..thoroughly enjoyed the book... hope there will be more in the series..definitely a good read
This was an "okay" read. I wasn't swept up in it, but it was interesting enough for to finish it. I think it is more suited for younger adults.
I'm not usually a Vampire reader, but Jon Kershner now has a new fan. This book was a surprise and great read. The characters are fun and at the same time gritty/tender. I just bought the sequel to read and am looking forward to more from Kershner.
